The Green Salon is entered through two magnificent portals with curved jambs in Rococo style.
It served as a representative reception room, but also as a venue for social gatherings, as the
comfortable furniture clearly indicates. The backs and armrests of the chairs are generously
upholstered, and novel developments in furnishing and decor create a comfortable atmosphere.
These include tables with drawers, small gaming tables, consoles and fire screens. A particularly

interesting decoration in the room is the picture on the wall opposite the windows. It was painted
in China and depicts a European palace.
